How it all started...
Whiteash Free Will Baptist Church was organized in September, 1917, by a small group of God-fearing people who saw the need to begin a church in the community of Whiteash. It was a small wood frame church that was built for the people to worship in. The land on which the church was built was donated by R.A and Emley Lylerla for only 50 cents.
Expanding the vision...
In 1980 the was in need of a pastor and they called Bro. Eddie Null to come and lead the people of Whiteash Church. When he came there were 23 people attending church. As Bro. Eddie began to preach and proclaim God's Word the church began to grow, souls were saved and lives were changed. The congregation then began to pray and seek God's will for the future of Whiteash. The people believed God would have them build a new sanctuary on land on Rt 37. The acquired the land, and the vision began. The Groundbreaking Service was held on June 8, 1986. The construction went quickly and the first service in the new building was December 7, 1986, only 6 months in the making. Less than 10 years later, another building program began. On October 15, 1995, Whiteash Church began building a new sanctuary and additional classrooms adjoining to the existing church. The new sanctuary could seat up to 400 people.
